What is this tool used for?

Use this calculator to estimate energy from a known panel wattage and number of panels. It returns daily output, output over your selected period and the production of a single panel.

How to use this calculator

Enter the electrical nameplate watts per panel and the installed quantity. Set peak sun hours for the location and season, choose total losses, and enter the number of days. For a 550 W panel, five peak sun hours and 20% losses, one panel produces an estimated 2.2 kWh per day; ten panels produce 22 kWh.

Understanding your results

kWp is installed nameplate power; kWh is energy generated over time. The period total assumes the same daily sun-hour input throughout. Use season-specific values and actual shading and inverter constraints before making a purchase.

Mètode de càlcul

Array kWp = panel watts × quantity ÷ 1,000. Daily kWh = array kWp × peak sun hours × (1 − losses). Period kWh = daily kWh × selected days. One-panel daily output uses quantity = 1.

Abans d’utilitzar el resultat

Rated watts are laboratory nameplate power, not continuous output. Peak sun hours are equivalent full-sun hours, not daylight hours. Losses include the conversion and site effects you choose to model. Results do not fetch location weather or separately model shading, tilt or inverter clipping. One month cannot predict a full year without seasonal inputs.
